Sharjah’s Department of eGovernment launches Digital Academy

Sharjah’s Department of eGovernment, in partnership with the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority and the Digital Government, announced the establishment of the Sharjah Digital Academy.

The Digital Academy is a joint national undertaking of digital governments aimed at personnel working in digital transformation-related professions.

The Digital Academy will rely on an artificial intelligence-powered platform to promote more effective learning, which will improve the quality and efficiency of services.

Sheikh Khaled bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Director-General of the e-Government Department, provided a speech during the inaugural event underlining the relevance of the Digital Academy. He emphasised that it is a new chapter in the Emirate’s strategy for promoting digital transformation.

He also mentioned that the partnership between the E-Government Department, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, and the Digital Government in developing the Sharjah Digital Academy will help to strengthen the knowledge economy.
