Al Ketbi: SEDC includes 200 manufacturing and exporting companies

Ali Abdullah Al Jari Al Ketbi, Director of the Sharjah Export Development Centre (SEDC) revealed that the centre and the permanent exhibition affiliated with the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), located in the main building of the Chamber, includes 200 manufacturing and exporting companies, out of approximately 3000 manufacturing companies in the emirate of Sharjah.

He also said to “Sharjah 24” that these industrial enterprises’ gross domestic product in the emirate of Sharjah represents a 10% contribution to the national GDP of the country.

Al Ketbi emphasised that, particularly following the signing of the free trade agreement with the UAE, the Sharjah Export Development Centre’s strategic goals aim to develop new markets through trade missions, including significant nations like Kenya, Uganda, and India.

He reaffirmed that the goal of participating in domestic and international exhibits is to publicize the Sharjah emirate’s products.
