Global workplace provider Regus has opened a new serviced office centre at Expo Centre Sharjah, one of the region’s leading exhibition venues. The new business centre at Sharjah Expo is one of three Regus facilities in Sharjah, providing fully equipped serviced offices.

Expo Centre Sharjah , now hosts fully equipped and ready-to-go workspaces, in a convenient location adjacent to the city’s Corniche with good connections to the E11, which connects Sharjah to the northern emirates, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The new business centre offers a range of office support services to small-to-medium sized enterprises, start-ups, entrepreneurs and multinationals, simplifying the logistics of establishing an office in Sharjah.

Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) expects that the new Regus Business Centre offices will prove to be valuable to firms that are testing waters in Middle Eastern markets, in addition to SMEs that are finding their feet.

Sharjah’s economy has seen strong growth over the past few years, as businesses reap the rewards of the emirate’s economic development strategies. The economy achieved a growth rate of 8.5 percent in 2014 and the number of business licences issued in Sharjah saw a 5 percent increase in 2014, compared to 2013. Meanwhile, the government has allocated 45 percent the emirate’s 2015 budget for economic development.

The combination of Regus’s international experience with office space solutions and Expo Centre ‘s state-of-the-art exhibition facilities is expected to bolster Sharjah’s proposition for international exhibitors.

Expo Centre Sharjah, the exhibition wing of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), was the first trade fair centre to be established in the UAE and has been hosting international fairs and exhibitions since 1977. Over the years, the Centre has become one of the region’s most popular trade exhibition venues drawing exhibitors and visitors from all around the world.
