Shurooq to present major projects at Cityscape Global

The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) will be presenting some of Sharjah’s largest real estate, tourism and mixed-use developments at Cityscape Global from 21 – 23 September 2014 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Cityscape Global is the biggest annual real estate trade show in the Middle East and North Africa and draws investors and developers from around the world.

Shurooq’s current projects include Heart of Sharjah, the UAE’s largest urban restoration project; Al Bait Hotel, a new boutique tourist hotel; Al Bedayer Desert Camp desert resort; the Flag Island development on Sharjah city’s Khalid Lagoon; the east coast Kalba Eco-Tourism project; Al Jabal Resort, The Chedi Khorfakkan; the family entertainment and retail destination Al Majaz Waterfront ; Al Montazah Amusement and Water Park; Al Qasba, a popular city tourism, cultural, business and entertainment destination; and the AED 500 million (US$136m) Sir Bu Nuair, a real estate, eco-tourism and leisure development 65km off the UAE coastline.

Shurooq will be sharing updated plans for its Sir Bu Nuair island development, Shurooq’s largest development project to-date. An area of outstanding natural beauty, the island development includes a marina, airport, a luxury hotel, a 9,693 square metre village and a variety of retail, cultural and leisure facilities. The village community will consist of two 2-bedroom villas, ten 3-bedroom villas, four 4-bedroom villas, and a 710 meter VIP villa.

The development’s luxury 5-star hotel will offer sixty one-bedroom hotel suites, beach chalets and houses, plus 17 luxury suites and chalets in the hotel’s Turtle Beach facility. Travelling to Sir Bu Nuair Island takes 2 – 3 hours by sea, 25 minutes by plane from Jebel Ali and Abu Dhabi and 40 minutes from Sharjah.

The new plans for the Sir Bu Nuair island development will be on display on the Shurooq’s stand number 1G30 in Hall 1 of Cityscape Global.
