Sharjah Expo, GM sign MoU to host 8th edition of EduCafé.

Expo Centre Sharjah has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Gulf Madhyamam (GM) to organise the 8th edition of EduCafé, an educational event, from 19th to 22nd October, which is set to feature numerous educational institutions, increasing networking opportunities for students in Grade 10 and above.

Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, and Mohammed Salim Ambalam, Regional Director at Gulf Madhyamam, signed the MoU in the presence of officials from both sides.

The four-day event will have a significant impact on the UAE’s Indian community in terms of gathering, networking, and planning for their children’s educational future. The first two days of the show, October 19th and 20th, will be allocated for school visits, while October 21st and 22nd, Friday and Saturday, will be reserved for parent visits.

The exhibition will take place in conjunction with the 18th Edition of the International Education Show (IES), and is recognised as the largest Indian educational career guidance fair in the GCC.

This initiative will witness the participation of more than 75 educational institutions, that will present a wide range of the most prominent academic, specialised, and professional education programmes, approved and compatible with the requirements of the labor market, familiarizing students with the mechanisms and steps for admission, registration, and grant programmes available during the exhibition days.

With EduCafé on board, this would be a great opportunity not just for Indian Universities and other education institutions based in India to participate in the exhibition, but also for the vast Indian population residing in the UAE.

International Education Show, now in its 18th edition, has been running successfully over the years and has been supported by the Ministry of Education, Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA), and the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).

In his remarks, Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, stated, “The IES attracts most important international companies and institutions specialised in the field of education and it confirms the exhibition’s leading regional and global reputation and the continuous successes it achieves, especially in light of the Expo Centre Sharjah’s eagerness to provide all of the organisational and promotional elements to develop this event and enable it to achieve its goals to further improve the position of the Emirate of Sharjah as an ideal environment for the academic and research community. The exhibition also supports one of the most prominent goals of the ‘UAE Centennial 2071’ plan.”

Al Midfa stressed that the 18th session of the show would be full of participations that enrich the educational process, and that this agreement constitutes a positive step toward strengthening these participations.

Mohammed Salim pointed out that the selection of the Expo Centre Sharjah to host the eighth edition of EduCafé, stems from the successes it achieved with the annual education show, as it has become one of the most prominent events specialised in higher education and studies.

He further noted that this agreement will allow students to visit and learn about the most important Indian educational and academic institutions, as well as the steps for admission and registration.
